1. What LakeChelanStays is
LakeChelanStays.com (“the Site”) is an independent community marketplace for Wapato Point Resort rentals, including timeshare condo weeks and whole vacation homes in the surrounding residential neighborhoods. We connect owners who wish to rent with renters looking for short-term accommodations. We are not affiliated with Wapato Point Management Company, Point Forward Hospitality, or any other resort management entity.
2. No verification of ownership
We do not verify that anyone listing on this Site actually owns or has the right to rent the condo week or home they list. Email address verification confirms only that a valid email was used; it is not proof of ownership. Renters are solely responsible for verifying ownership before transferring any money, by contacting the appropriate village management company for a condo week, and by verifying the owner's identity and using a payment method with buyer protection for a private home.
3. No payment handling
LakeChelanStays does not process, hold, or facilitate any payments. All financial transactions occur directly between the owner and renter. We accept no liability for any losses arising from payment disputes, fraud, or non-performance of rental agreements.
4. Listing accuracy
Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including any photos, rates, availability, and descriptions they provide. By posting a listing, you represent that the information is truthful, that you have the right to offer the rental, and that you will honor any agreement made with a renter through this platform.
5. Fees
Posting a condo-week listing is free. Vacation home listings are free during our launch period; we may introduce a listing fee for homes in the future, with notice, and it will only apply to listings created or renewed after any such change takes effect. We never charge renters to browse or contact owners.
6. Prohibited use
You may not use the Site to post fraudulent listings, impersonate others, harvest contact information, or engage in any activity that is illegal or harmful. We reserve the right to remove any listing and block any user at our sole discretion.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing or information on the Site. We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or any rental transaction facilitated through it.
8. Assumption of risk and release
You use the Site and rent at your own risk. LakeChelanStays is a listings board only; we are not a party to, agent for, or guarantor of any rental agreement, and we do not screen, endorse, or vouch for any owner, renter, listing, or transaction. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to rent from or to any person and for verifying the other party before exchanging money. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release LakeChelanStays, its operators, and its affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, and losses arising out of or related to any listing, communication, payment, or rental transaction, including fraud, misrepresentation, cancellation, non-performance, property damage, or injury.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
